Meals for larger groups (up to 40 guests) are served in Markan, the larger conference premises. Coffee and tea is set up at a suitable place depending on where the guests work.

Conference rooms
Söderarm has six available choices for your conference:

  • MARKAN is the largest one (80 square meters) where 24 people can sit and work comfortably. It would be possible to fit up to 35 people. This room is permanently set up with all your conference needs (click here for details),
and has a kitchen next door that could be used for group activities or discussions.

  • STORM.
    • The tower in Storm is a very special room with 360 degree glass walls where up to 15 people can fit nicely. All conference material will be assembled specificly for your needs as the walls don’t allow for a permanent set up.
    • The small dining room, located directly beneath the tower can be used for small groups (up to 8 people) or in combination with the tower. (All conference material in lockers)
    • The TV-room in the basement of the tower can be used for group work and discussions.

  • KULING AND BRIS. The kitchens in these two buildings have been arranged to fit small groups of up to 6 people.
When the weather allows there are many outside alternatives with tables and benches.

The sauna
We have renovated one of the bunkers from World War II and put in place a wood fired sauna with room for up to 24 people and a common room/change room tastefully designed and fitted with wicker chairs. Located on the most easterly tip of the island it has a naturally made rock pool outside, perfect to cool down in after spending time in the sauna.

The Cannon bar
Amongst our military remembrances is the shelter of the 120 mm cannon that belonged to the Söderarm battery which we are planning to rebuild into a bar in 2008. It is possible to enter the shelter and stand where the cannon once stood.
